Guided Walk at Grace Dieu Priory, Ashby Road, Coalville (LE67 5UG) followed by lunch at the Coach and Horses, Markfield (LE67 9RF)
Meet in the car park of the Bulls Head, Thringstone, (LE67 8LR) at 10.30 am.
This year our walk will be in the morning, followed by lunch. This a change from the usual but we think it will be an enjoyable and popular event.
The walk is based at the ruins of Grace Dieu Priory and comes highly recommended by several sources. The walk will be led by Ann Petty, who will give us the interesting, historical background to the priory. The walk is about 2 miles long and lasts about 2 hours. Sensible shoes are advised.
We have arranged lunch at the Coach and Horses in Markfield for 1.30pm. Lunch is optional but must be pre-ordered and a deposit of £5 per person given in advance. You may choose as many, or as few courses as you like from the menu below. Payment for your meal, less the £5 deposit, will be made individually on the day.
