Honeytree Garden
We have arranged a private visit to this exciting garden, for which the owners have been plant-hunting for more than 20 years. It is tropical and exotic with a hint of jungle. There are raised borders with different themes from lush foliage to arid cacti. Glasshouses are dedicated to different climatic zones and interspersed with exotic planting, ponds and a stream. There is a treehouse and a viewing platform to view tree ferns from above, while being among the tree canopy. A fernery is dedicated to exotic and rare ferns from around the world. Arrive in Bottesford at 12.30pm, for a light lunch, of quiche and salad, at Paul’s Restaurant, 1 Market Street, Bottesford, NG13 OBW, leaving for Honeytrees at 2.00pm. Directions: Paul’s Restaurant has a car park to its left, or park on the road. For Honeytrees, 85 Grantham Road, NG13 0EG, head out of Bottesford towards Grantham. Immediately after the Co-op, turn left down a slip road. Park on the grass verge opposite number 85.
The cost is £26 for Friends and £28.00 for guests. This includes lunch, entry to the garden and tea and cakes at Honeytrees. If you are interested and have time, the very fine monuments in St Mary’s church include eight Earls of Rutland and their wives. This is an own transport visit, so please indicate on the booking form if you would be able to offer people, unable to drive themselves, a lift. Please book online or by post by Monday 10th August 2026. For further information about the visit contact Rose, 07969438196
