A guided walk around Thrussington and afternoon tea

Date(s) - 23/05/2021
2:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Thrussington Village Hall

Meet outside Thrussington Village Hall (Hoby Road LE7 4TH) 2.30pm Own Transport

We’re back in business, but unfortunately due to on-going restrictions, only for 29 Friends. We will also have to observe Covid regulations relating to social distancing, mask wearing etc. Book early to avoid disappointment.

Janet Spavold has studied buildings for most of her life. She has worked in Higher Education, running a Local History degree course and for 20 years a WEA/Nottingham University evening class research group in local history. Her own research covers a wide range of historical material and in recent years centred on Ticknall, South Derbyshire. Some of us have heard her speak at Hoby History Society, about buildings in Hoby, and thought she would be an obvious candidate for a Trust village walk. It should be an interesting afternoon.

The walk will be followed by a delicious afternoon tea, which will be eaten on the lawn beside the Village Hall (or in the hall if it is raining) This will be packaged individually by the Deli in Thrussington. You may prefer to bring your own flask of tea or coffee, although it will be possible for drinks to be served from the Hall. You will need to bring your own chair.

Cost: Guided Walk and afternoon tea £16.50 (This event is only open to Friends.) Further details contact Elizabeth: 0116 2705711
