Kiftsgate Court gardens are situated on the Cotswold escarpment with wonderful views to the Malvern Hills in the west. The gardens are the creation of three generations of women gardeners. First Heather Muir in the 1920s, then taken over by her daughter, Mrs Diany Binny in 1950 and now in the very capable hands of her daughter, Mrs Anne Chambers. The gardens are a plantsman’s delight as the family has had collected species from all over the world and there is interest at all times of the year. It is of course famous for the development of Rosa filipes ‘Kiftsgate’. For more information see Kiftsgate
A 5 minute stroll from Kiftsgate is Hidcote, an iconic English garden that needs no further introduction. It has taken LRGT 12 years to get there, but we are now on our way, with a big push from Chris Beardshaw. For more information see Hidcote
