Bunny Guinness, Chartered Landscape Architect, works on a wide range of commissions for a diverse clientele. Private commissions vary from tiny city gardens to large stately homes while commercial projects span parks and public gardens in Japan to golf courses, hotel gardens and shopping precincts in Europe. As might be expected, budgets are equally varied with client implemented schemes at one end of the scale contrasting with extravagant ‘instant’ gardens using favoured contractors at the other.
Bunny Guinness' gardens have appeared on many television programmes. Her Cypriot flavoured garden won the Best Garden in the Series Award on Carol Vordeman’s ‘Better Gardens’,(winning the client a cottage) and a number of her schemes were featured on ‘Guinness in the Garden’, her own programme which ran to three series. Bunny’s own garden was featured in Channel Four’s ‘Gardener’s Gardens’ and she has also designed a Cooks’ Garden for BBC 2’s ‘Small Town Gardens’. For the last five years she has been a regular panellist on BBC Radio 4’s ‘Gardeners’ Question Time’ as well as designing the programme’s own garden (and potting shed!) at Sparsholt College. She also writes a weekly column in the Sunday Telegraph.
